The PM's pet journo, Nikki Savva, has used today's column to issue a stern warning to the Liberal Party that her man Mal will force an immediate by-election if the Libs have the temerity to put the Party, and the country, ahead of Turnbull's ego and do the decent thing.

" Bishop, obviously relishing acting in the job, has not been angling to replace Turnbull and wouldn’t get it even if she wanted it, which she and those close to her insist she doesn’t.
Let’s suppose for one moment she did; Liberals would be wading through blood every day between now and the election that would be imminent because Turnbull would quit and precipitate a by-election."

Did anybody ever doubt that our petty PM would take his bat and ball and go home if the other players won't let him be captain any more.

Speak volumes about the man but just as the High Court stood up to Mal's attempted bullying of them, the Liberal Party need to stare down this attempted blackmail and get rid of him, soon.
