Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull has wished Australia’s Muslim community a blessed and joyful end to Ramadan.
“From my family to yours, Eid Mubarak,” he said in a statement on Sunday evening.
The prime minister described Ramadan — the month in which Muslims fast from food and water between dawn and sunset — as a time of spiritual renewal and recommitment to the values of gratitude, charity, and compassion.
