Bigger spending, bigger government? It's in the DNA of Labor. Now also the LNP. And populism is now rife. Bash the banks, bash the foreign workers, bash big companies. Be careful what you wish for -- weaker banks means less/costlier money for business to start-up or expand, mortgage rates will rise. As for foreign companies, they will think twice about investing in Australia, so fewer jobs. Tax on foreign workers means projects will get delayed or canned. What a bullsh*t budget. This is not economics, it's bulls*t politics. LNP better economic managers? No way, not any more. And Govt building infrastructure? After NBN? Roof installation? Qld Health's IBM fiasco? Prepare for cost blowouts in the billions. Who will pay? Mug taxpayers of course.
