Not being a footy fan, I have no problem in being contemptuous of the lot of them.
In a current affairs program years back on the behaviour of some of the players and their female "groupies", one of the groupies described a drinking session at a hotel they were staying at, and how a certain player was having it off with her girlfriend from behind as she was hung over the balcony rail vomitting her heart out. Even most animals are better behaved.
I guess the girls feel that being seen with the big name players is worth the treatment they receive at times.
