" So how far has political correctness gone now if this is the case that people can't form personal relationships with co-workers???"

Well, Chrys, last I heard the head of Australia's Border Force was suspended pending an investigation into a "inappropriate" relationship with a female staffer.

Hmmm, I thought, she may have been only 17..... but no, she turned out to be a lady of 30.
So double Hmmmmm. It turned out the woman was his partner, and he is alleged to have helped her get her job with Border Force, which he denies.

Then a short time later, the Assistant Commissioner resigned over similar circumstances.

    "
Within days of the scandal becoming public, news broke of a second senior ABF officer, assistant commissioner Peter Docwra, being investigated over similar claims.
Assistant Commissioner Peter Docwra - who was head of the ABF's capability division - resigned on Thursday after taking extended leave.
It is unclear the nature of the allegations against Mr Docwra, however it he is reportedly being investigated over claims he had an inappropriate relationship."

So it seems relationships among co-workers CAN be a big deal.

Hey, there was a big turn over of barmaids years back at a certain country hotel, with none lasting long. The female publican was in a relationship with the bar manager, who was a very horny male and tried his luck with all the barmaids. Any barmaid who put out for him, she dismissed. Any that didnt, HE dismissed.
No unfair dismissal in those days.
