This German series is promising. It deals with the inter-war period known as the Weimar Republic and looks like the focus will be on the hedonistic lifestyle in Berlin which attracted a lot of the artistic & alternative lifestyle seekers from around Europe and as far as the USA. It also saw the struggle between the communists and the forces on the right come to a head. I think it was Marx or was it Lenin who had predicted the communist revolution was most likely to happen in Germany first, being the most industrialized country in the west. All of this background is revealed in the first couple of episodes and, as there are I think 4 series, it should give scope for a good storyline.
