Sky News host Rita Panahi says at the heart of what the 'Yes' Campaign is selling is “racial division” and “racial privilege”.

“So many Australians are not aware of what’s happening as far as Native Title claims – how much of the country has already been handed back – we found out through this story that there’s something like around 40,000 unresolved claims in New South Wales alone,” Ms Panahi said.

“Just think about how many claims there are around the country – we’ve already had half of the country swept up in these claims and there’s more to come.

“I think the Voice and this entire referendum debate has put a spotlight on these issues because it's kind of happened quietly at the activist political class without many Australians actually being aware, unless they’re directly impacted, of what’s happening.

“The Yes campaign right now is the biggest political advertiser on Facebook and Instagram in Australia – they are cashed up they are spending like mad, but their message isn’t resonating.

“Almost one in three voters don’t rate the 'Yes' campaign arguments as compelling reasons to vote for the Voice.

“There’s only so much fluff you can sell – at the heart of what they’re selling is racial division, racial privilege, having race politics enshrined in our constitution followed by truth-telling and treaty and everything else the Uluru statement contains, and people don’t want that.”
