There's a lot of truth to that post, good to see its not your usual hate speech . I agree this country needs to smarten up and start investing in new ideas and innovation. Sadly it's not that sexy though and probably isn't worth enough votes to the short sighted pollies . I liked abbotts idea ( about the only one) of the surcharge of 7 bucks for a dr visit and pour the money into research, but alas pensioners didn't like it . Ideas like that need encouraging and explored rather than our major parties too busy stifling progress for point scoring. the country cannot keep digging itself up to survive.
