Sometimes, when you have a big position and you are on the wrong side of the market, you just have to bite the bullet and dump it. If the position is big enough, you are going to move the market and make a lot of other people very unhappy. That is the way of the world. I have done it myself, and it isn't much fun. You have to explain it to management and the rest of the market hates you for a while. But it is always a relief to be out. Stale positions mess with objective thinking.
