The original SARSvaccine caused Antibody Dependent Enhancement "ADE". Meaning thosegiven the vaccine got sicker and died more often when exposed to SARS thanthose who had not been vaccinated. The vaccine made things worse not better.
This could be part ofthe reason why scientists went with a non-sterilizing mRNA vaccine since todate they have never made a successful sterilizing vaccine against a Coronavirus ever in history.
I was holding out hope for Novavax or the more traditional style vaccine from the French company Valneva. The mRNA seems a bit sketchy with plenty of unknowns in regards to the spike proteins, and lack of long term safety data.
