I never like doing the maths on these things... but it seems around 36 million shares will go on Friday
Thats if the 0.25% is true
I was actually thinking the shorts would decrease this week
Looking at the RSG (also in the GDXJ) price action on Thursday and Friday - it seems this may have already begun
This re-balance is a big one and it has been very well advertised
I think these shorters will start to get worried that they may not be able to cover in the closing auction on Friday
And hence will cover mid week
But I had a quick look at shortman.com.au and there only seems to be about 22 million short as of monday June 5
We shall see
