It's interesting how you see things subconsciously and it's not until someone brings up the subject that you kind of analyse it . Some blokes seem to think 'ogling ' women or openly perving on them is ok . It doesn't help when some women are dressed in a certain way to show off their features . If a woman wants to wear this gear in public then I think that's fine . It's her choice . But to have to wear it in a job to attract some blokes that can't control themselves doesn't make sense to me anymore .
When you think about it , what was does a skimpily dressed girl bring to a car race ? Why do they have to be women if they are only holding an umbrella over the driver ? It's only because you and I have always known it to be this way that it seems normal to us .
As previously posted , it doesn't mean you won't see very attractive women working at these events any more . Attractive women are not going to be banned from being in public .
I have been a motorsport enthusiast for a long time and have been to many events . I have a few mates in the game so I have had better than average access in some cases . I have spoken to plenty of grid girls and attractive women in motorsport .
Btw . Bathurst 12 hour this weekend . Coverage starts at 5.30 am on 7mate .
Anyway , back to the topic . Always admired the grid girls and the other promotional girls at these types of events . Beautiful women , beautiful figures and dressed up/made up to look their best . Mostly happy smiling personalities as well which is an important part of their job .
Nothing wrong with that as I see personally but I have seen heaps of times where blokes have gone to far . Mostly because they have a bit of liquid courage on board . Also seen plenty of times where someone has had to intervene .
The girls always get around in two's , threes or larger groups . That is no coincidence as to why they do this .
It is a bit of a pity that some of these traditions are changing but when you look at it from others point of view it does make a lot of sense .
