Ok thought we should give the Virtual reality potential a thread of it's own. VR Potential imo....Massive.
Gaming is initially the biggest money maker for this tech imo, as a gamer I already wear a headset when gaming so not a drastic change in comfort. $71 billion dollars spent on gaming in 2014 and growing year on year. Gamers will no doubt be the first to adopt the tech. PlayStation will again lead the way http://www.news.com.au/technology/h...3/news-story/e4901d40496b2b462693b1704107957c
Entertainment: Movies, TV, Youtube, possibly a bigger challenge for acceptance from the comfort point of view, tho youtube is already offering VR videos. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCzuqhhs6NWbgTzMuM09WKDQ

The infrastructure is already here.
As far as I can find YNB is so far the only decent VR play on the ASX, with small mentions from XTV, GCN and NUH. (please add if I've missed something)
I do dig the enthusiasm in the Gophr thread but realistically I do expect competition to be fierce in this field as it is with all I.T based tech, how and where Beyond lands in this space remains to be seen. A simple google search will already link you to multiple VR enhancement companies in Australia, tho none of which are listed.
The advantage with Beyond is obviously the Y hub tech to link multiple platforms, an experienced management team with contacts and history with the industry, and first mover advantage. (In Oz)
My biggest concerns for this industry is quality, there are already $50 headsets on the market and as they say you get what you pay for, cheap sh!t could kill a large proportion of the market due to poor quality video, audio and latency.
This being my biggest post on HC as of yet (and fairly intoxicated), feel free to correct me on any discrepancies, add as you please or ignore entirely.
