You are 100% correct. When we open new plants on my site it takes months to optimise everything. The chemistry of even the simplest elements take time to find the right balance. Every process will react differently with whatever product they are processing/extracting. Whether it be lithium through VUL’s process or iron ore through an OBP. Even iron ore has different levels contaminants which requires alterations to the process. A plant which is built and commissioned is done so it fits the general purpose of its purpose, with tweaking to be made for months afterwards. There’s a good chance they’ll be making slight optimisation changes for years to come. Smart minds always think of something new to try.
The exciting part about all of this for me is not the producing of lithium from this stage 1 plant but the IP head start they will have on all competitors/peers in this space. Selling the rights to the use of this IP could be bigger than this project itself if it proves to be as successful as they aim for. Anyway, back to the Saturday BBQ. Enjoy your weekend folks.
