What has caused the lack of wage growth is globalisation. All our Manufacturing is doomed (I am Mfr) as high electricity, long service leave, sickies, compulsory super, high factory rents, and cheap imports mean business owners have to curtail pay increases in order to survive.
Remember- the only industries that actually make money- are farming, mining, and manufacturing. (primary industries) all other people who think they are making money, (such as services, IT, Medical etc) are only taking money from those who actually made it.

So we need to get electricity costs down, wages in line, so we can get manufacturing, mining and agriculture back up where it needs to be.
