Dr Bateman who owns Wandjina has had some success with his bloodstock interests over the years. He owned Foxwedge which was sold to stud for about $10 million a few years ago. He's a buyer at the top end of the market so really puts his money on the line. As for Wandjina's value, only about 2-3 stallions are retired to stud each year on a commercially successful basis. At the moment Wandjina would be behind Rich Enuff, Brazen Beau, Hallowed Crown, Shooting To Win and Preferment from this 3YO crop. It's commercial value would be minimal...might even be $0. Who would send a mare to it?
Reaper.
