    That is rubbish. Whilst yes the LP and ALP members, depending on which side wins, appoint the PM in a party room sitting after the election, when you have an election, and during the election campaign, it is pretty obvious to the people who they will be electing as PM. Try running an election campaign on we don't know who the elected members will vote as PM after the election in the party room should we win and see where that gets you, when the other side says it will be this dude/woman etc. When you go vote, you know who will be leading the country after the election for the winning side. A technicality of bollocks been spoken by you to be frank. IMO

    Should add on election day most voters don't even know who teh local candidate is and vote for which party they like based on the policies spoken by its head during the election campaign.
