    Profit at the expense of the struggling lowest paid workers in the land
    is not the business model that Australia should prescribe to. After all aren't we
    one of the wealthiest countries in the world. Why do the poor have to carry
    the load and in real terms keep going backwards.

    Business will adjust to this small catch up rise for the lowest paid workers and in terms of
    small business its the contribution of those on the minimum wage that help them to succeed.
    Yes, some small businesses are doing it tough because they are being exploited by property
    owners whose rents are massively over-priced. You have to sell a lot of coffee's just to
    pay the lease on the business premise. Looking to the lowest paid Australians to always carry
    the can is not a fair approach.
