There is a lot going on behind the scenes with many groups looking to introduce more effective NVM's
Micron is to introduce an SSD with FeRam
They basically call it NVM Dram
The cost of production however is high so niche required areas will initially be targeted
This is essentially another replacement for Nand, but cost could be the inhibitor for tackling the broader base
WBT Reram could be a real challenger in this area.
Why then would Micron( and other key players) continue on the path with a costly Ram alternative when a far cheaper and effective alternative is staring them in the face
These changes don't happen over
night for many reasons.
But there is change happening and Micron is just another example of this
Be Patient is the key word
