Hi Karl. I'm not tech savvy at all, but use a Samsung Galaxy Notes to trade during the day. I bought this phone because of its large screen to facilitate trading. No problems with using Commsec and Etrade to execute orders and its faster than my desktop computer.

However, I do all my analysis after hours on a desktop and just place orders with the phone during lunchtime at work. My charting package (Market Analyst) doesn't work on a mobile phone and I doubt any decent package would, although others may correct me here. If I think I'll need to check a chart during the day I'll take snapshot and save a copy to Dropbox and just access the static image from my mobile as needed.

I wouldn't do analysis on a mobile phone anyway as I think you need a much bigger screen and a mouse of some sort.
