it's nigh on impossible to convince people with a belief that their belief is wrong
their subconscious will not allow it ------ because the subconscious has a major role in confirming the world around them as it believes it to be
and it doesn't matter much with IQ levels -- a bright person with a belief will build bigger barriers to accepting new beliefs and destroying older beliefs - if enough of their pillars supporting the belief are dismantled - then, they will accept the new belief easier than the dummies who can't process information as quickly
but, all intellect levels have a huge problem once a belief is nicely cemented in place
in the place of all evidence - half the bloody world believes in an invisible person in the sky ------- and in the face of a tidal wave of evidence of increasing extreme weather event and rapid climate change currently ------ the mob you speak to on here ----- think that everything is normal and there's no change
one of the ones you speak to believed that Donald was still president - months after the election
no kiddy with crayons could hope to explain reality to people like that
