'' who`ve never had a productive job (just politics and unions ) in their life.''

I love this theory of wacko land that suggests that only someone who has a real job who enters politics will know what they are doing and might be successful

Scotty had real jobs ------------ how'd he work out?

Many leaders and politicians were lawyers --------- often not very successful lawyers before entering politics -------- do you consider that a 'real job'

    here's johnboy -

After studying law at the University of Sydney, Howard became a solicitor. He initially worked at a larger law firm, (Clayton Utz) but "lacked the university grades and the social connections to be on track for a partnership". He subsequently moved to a smaller firm, which became Truman, Nelson and Howard after he was made a partner.

my personal opinion is that whilst lawyers see a different side of life - I really wouldn't call what they do as a 'real job'

particularly failed lawyers ---------- who very often when they fail - fall into the creek that leads to political river
