I seriously doubt Burgess would have mentioned even those few details if such an investigation, or even one similar, were currently active.
he weighs each word very deliberately. painstakingly so.
but todays the interview allowed Burgess to stress its not the identity of the individuals that is at issue, but a clear and present warning of a frequent risk that all high profile public people in all parliaments are faced with. his point is directed at all Aussies but at pollies in particular. he doesn't want a repeat of Dastyari or Andrew Robb.
