The tech does not have to be "rubbish" - just not good enough (or proved up enough) when considered in relation to the entire current state of advanced battery technologies.
If it is we will almost certainly do business, if it is not we won't.
When gambling all angles should be considered. Especially when playing with money one will sook about losing and only tolerate winning. That attitude is childish tantrum.
