I too think Hodges will be missed. I think his detractors were unaware of his presence in defence and his ability to get his forwards (whole team actually) going forward after a crucial dummy half run.
However, this backline is starting to remind me of the great Broncs backlines of the early 90's. A Roberts/Reid combo reminds me of a Renouf/Johns combo with one strike electrifying centre with a solid defensive centre. And while Hunt/Milford are no Alf/Walters, but I do think there is A LOT of upside with Milford. I don't think Milford will regress. I think he has grown into the 5/8th position and has his head screwed on pretty well. It's amazing to think he is only 21!!!! Bennett will be great for Roberts and I think it was a good career move for him. Bennett is a good man manager and I think his style of coaching will work well with Roberts and will give him a lot of belief, which i think is the key to a lot of young players, especially young aboriginal talent in attack.
