As for your proposed solution, George Bush Senior's first invasion of Iraq to rescue Kuwait did so but otherwise added to tensions in the Middle East.

George Bush Jnrs invasion of Iraq as leader of the 'Coalition of the Willing' on the back of lies about WMDs has proven an absolute disaster, a war that has now exceeded a decade with hundreds of thousand off civilian deaths, millions displaced and even greater destabilisation throughout the Middle East. Meantime events in Syria and Palestine have festered and added to the turmoil and tensions throughout the Middle East.

But warmongers are now even proposing a third such attempt. Well some believe that when in a ditch don't just keep on digging deeper. You need to figure out the best way to extricate yourself and those poor buggers you dragged in there with you.

We have responsibilities to prevent ethnic cleansing, to prevent genocide and so on. Media reports indicate that humanitarian aid is urgently needed as some groups otherwise face extermination. But let's not pretend that shooting the living daylights of Iraq and Syria is going to achieve anything other than what Bush 1 and Bush 2 achieved and most likely much worse!

I notice a complete lack of any solutions proposed in your post, just hand-wringing, bleating and helplessness as it typical of you cowardly lefties...

It would seem that the if war has been declared on you, there are two alternatives, either you surrender and submit or you fight and defeat the enemy soundly and completely...

It would also seem obvious that you have chosen total surrender and submission...

We are not the ones declaring war and lopping off the heads of random men, women and children...

However we may soon find ourselves fighting these barabaric savages in our front yards if we take the "peace in our time" appeasement approach you seem to be advocating and promoting...
