Even though housing's up, car sales are up, unemployment's down and household wealth is up in the USA I know I can never win the debate because the goldbug mindset is that the great Armageddon is upon us, the 'mainstream press' are lying, the Fed is lying, the US Govt is lying, the banks are lying, Fort Knox is empty, martial law is imminent, the USA is bankrupt et al.
Keep looking for that piece of secret info that will bring the world to it's economic knees, but none of it has yet, the GFC, Greece, Italy, the USD, ad infinitum.
In the meantime, property's up, stocks are up, bonds are up, even the beef price is up $4.90/kg, airplanes are chokka. These last couple of years are the icing on the cake for when I turn off the fuel control switches for the last time.
