We will never move beyond religion.

Now I'm really depressed.

Not really; I hope that you are wrong and that the age of enlightenment will extend long enough to enable the fallacies of religion to be seen for what they are.

We have come a long way since the dawning of the age of enlightenment, but have a long way to go; notwithstanding, the journey so far gives me some hope.

Is the glass half-full or half-empty? Maybe I'm too much of an optimist and see a half-full glass.
