    Who can foretell the future.
    But from my perspective of having worked with different kinds of people for say 40 years and observing them for another 20, I'd say we are not much different to the social and economic circumstances of the US or the UK
    Cultural differences with many parts of Europe make comparisons difficult.
    But one interesting development, which appears to be common not just in the western world but in some other places also, is the increase in farmers' revolts.
    Historically one tends to think of revolutionary outbreaks as a town & city thing, but not so. Many revolts against unfair situations have arisen in rural surroundings. And of course technology now makes it possible for disparate groups to link easily. This rural revolt atmosphere is spreading and could trigger off revolts among other groups.
    People do need to stand united in a world where they are losing any meaningful input into decisions which affect their lives and wellbeing.
