Will they?
I don't think so.
I think Bill Shorten and the rest of the ALP are telling people what they think they want to hear.
I think that if they get elected, the boats will start again, and the ALP won't stop them.
We are already starting to see rumblings within the ALP ranks, that there needs to be a 'different' or 'more humane' approach.
This is code for allowing onshore detention again, and more people to be brought in. This will turn a trickle into a flood, and next time it won't be 50,000 over 6 years, it will be 5,000,000 in 3 years. The people smugglers won't make the same mistake twice, they will send a flotilla of boats every day without pause.
Bill Shorten and Labor cannot be trusted about a lot of things, and first and foremost they cannot be trusted to manage our borders.
Put Greens last, and Labor second last, for the sake of our country.
