My brother-in-law is Basque, and his brother-in-law is Head of the Eusko Jaurlaritzako Ogasun eta Finantza Saila (Ministry of Finance in the Basque Government).
The Basques aren't stupid. They have a very good deal with Madrid (of which the Catalans are very jealous) and they aren't going anywhere. ETA are just a back of idiots that the Policia have to keep an eye on.
As for Ron Paul... The Fed is already audited by three separate agencies. So Congress will authorise an audit of the audit and find that Ron Paul has been wasting the Congress's time and tax payers money. Whatever the outcome, conspiracy theorists will continue to claim that there is a cover up, because that is what conspiracy theorist do, and I they don't really know how to do anything else.
