I do agree with you that the Chinese have strategically handled the virus as well as any and they certainly built on their experience of the SARS and MERs. Obama took a rational approach when ebola looked like a threat and put the advisory bodies and strategic response structures in place to respond to future events. Unfortunately for the US Trump dismantled and de-funded those a year or two back and as a result Trumps virus effort- which was mainly built around the hope it will magically go away has not come good.
Yes China is a dictatorship and you have to do what you are told but surrounding nations like sth Korea have faired a lot better and when you look ant the death toll (US accounts for a 1/4 of all the deaths in the rest of the world!!!) only the wilfully blind and delusional think this has not been due directly to Trumps actions-or lack there of!
The mask rejection crew, like bunnings Karen are the types of vectors these viruses need to spread and Trumps empowerment of them due to-not even sure why he has taken such a stand against masks-maybe because they were one of the pillars of the Asian response who knows- maybe he just does not understand how viruses spread!

Can some one explain why Trump went anti mask for so long? Too handsome?
