Looking Wesfarmers results into more details, I was able to find Bunnings EBITDA : 1,748 m $ for H1 24, up by 1.6 % vs H1 23.
This is to compare with a decrease of 4 % for Beacon Lighting EBITDA.
Quite interesting also to compare EBITDA margin : 28.1 % for Beacon Lighting vs 17.6 % for Bunnings.
Unfortunately, Bunnings does not disclose its gross margin, but I suspect that it is the major difference between the 2 companies, as Beacon Lighting has much higher prices.
Unlike Beacon Lighting, Bunnings mentions that it was able to grow its sales both with retail and commercial customers.
