I had a similar experience. I parked my car in the cbd and went and did some shopping. Some years ago when cars didnt have remote locking. Came back and put the key in the door to open it. The key went in but would not turn. I kept trying and then I got a tap on the shoulder. The owner wanted to know what I was doing. There were two identical cars parked together and I was trying to unlock the wrong one.
