Here's the numbers catching my eye.
Pre-announcement average for the preceding month was ~12.3m.
But the average for the past 7 trading days, which oddly spiked 2 days before the announcement is ~28.6m
And with ~6.1m already traded today i'd suggest we're in for another high volume day.
Someone big (or many) is buying. And with AMP being one of the most sold stocks on the Commsec list (yesterday) i do not think it is retail interest.
