I think Woodside should merge with BHP's Australian assets and take control of the Macedon field. They could then pick up some Greek assets and go on an acquisition campaign through the Persian region, maybe pick up some Egyptian projects along the way. It might be a good idea to go explore in the Hindu Kush area, but it would be pushing things too far to go too deep into India.
If the next CEO could pull that plan off, they certainly would make a name for themselves.
