An explosion in the share price usually leads to overshooting the mark and an equally rapid downward correction. I'd really rather not have that happen again. I'd much prefer a steady sustained build.
By the way the share price went from a low of 2.8 to a high of 11, for a rise of about 300% in under 7 weeks (April 8-may 25, 2016) and I believe we had about 1.7b shares on issue at that point. I'd call that an explosion, so I'm not sure your "2b shares on issue precludes a rapid rise" theory is completely water proof.
I get your point that the more on issue the more hands there are to create downward pressure, however I do believe when we start putting a substantial amount real dollars in our bank account, the share count won't matter. Market cap is the figure that's particularly important...
