Would you believe I saw a functioning old style Public Phone booth just last week at Dungeness near the Boat Ramp.
Should have taken a photo as I haven't seen one for ages
Dungeness is situated on mainland just north of Lucinda, North QLD (across from the bottom of Hinchinbrook Island.) It is a fishing village with a great Restaurant , Pub and accommodation.
Great boat ramp facilities.
You will notice the whole pontoon will float up and down with the tide so one can back their trailer to their boat without standing in crocodile waters.The pontoon hinges along it's length in several places.
