The Gaibandha Mineral Sands Project consists of three mining leases covering a total area of around 2395 hectares (ha), located at the Brahmaputra-Jamuna River under Gaibandha Sadar Upazila and Fulchari Upazila of Gaibandha District in northern Bangladesh. The Kurigram Mineral Sands Project has one exploration license application, covering a total area of over 4,000 ha.
