The Company is engaged in the development and commercialization of therapies primarily for eye disease. The Company’s lead asset, OPT-302, is a novel biologic inhibitor of VEGF-C and VEGF-D, for use in combination with VEGF-A inhibitors for the treatment of wet age-related macular degeneration (wet AMD) and diabetic macular edema (DME). The Company’s principal activities include the progression of the Company’s Phase III registration trials of OPT-302 for wet AMD. It also manufactures OPT-302 for use in Phase III clinical trials, conducts activities to support the commercialization of the product and expanded its management team in the United States to facilitate broader oversight and execution of its Phase III program. The Company’s development activities are based on an intellectual property portfolio covering key targets (Vascular Endothelial Growth Factors VEGF-C, VEGF-D and VEGF Receptor-3).More
