  • Siren Gold (SNG) has identified a new 3 kilometre long target at the Lyell Project, which is located to the north of the Reefton Goldfield in New Zealand
  • SNG made the discovery via the reinterpretation of magnetic data, with Siren identifying a structure spatially associated with a continuous zone of gold and arsenic soil anomalism
  • The materials stock believes the three kilometre long target represents the Lyell Shear Zone, just east of the historic Alpine United mine which produced 80,000 ounces
  • It’s now planning to carry out regional soil geochemistry and structural mapping across the target areas, with applications underway for drilling access

  • Siren Gold (SNG) updates the market regarding recent exploration activities at the Big River Project in New Zealand
  • To date, the company has drilled three of the six mineralised shoots at the historical and prospective Big River Mine
  • Shoot 4 has intersected up to 21.4 grams of gold per tonne (g/t) and Shoot A2 has intersected 4.2g/t gold
  • Siren has applied for a further 26 drill pads so that all six shoots at the Big River Mine can be drilled to depths of around 600 metres

Siren Gold (SNG) has updated the market regarding recent exploration activities at the Big River Project in New Zealand.

The Big River Project lies approximately 15 kilometres southeast of Reefton and overlays the areas of the historical Big River Mine which produced around 136,000 ounces of gold at an average grade of 34 grams of gold per tonne (g/t).

The mine has been divided into six mineralised shoots which are overlaid by anomalous gold and arsenic soil geochemistry.

Only three of the shoots – 1, 4 and A2 – have been drilled to date.

Shoot 4 has been drilled to a depth between 100 metres to 400 metres and remains open at depth.

Best results include 6.6 metres at 21.4g/t gold, three metres at 18.5g/t gold and three metres at 12.1g/t gold.

Based on previous results from this shoot, Siren has estimated a maiden exploration target of 100,000 ounces to 125,000 ounces at 7g/t gold to 9g/t gold.

The A2 Shoot has only been drilled near-surface with a result of five metres at 4.2g/t gold intersected.

This shoot is up to 10 metres thick, contains significant quartz and sulphide mineralisation and has not been drilled or mined below 50 metres.

Siren has applied for a further 26 drill pads so that all six shoots at the Big River Mine can be drilled to depths of around 600 metres.

  • Siren Gold (SNG) reports it has found more high-grade gold hits as it continues drilling at its Alexander River project in New Zealand
  • SNG is carrying out diamond drilling at the site, with latest drill holes testing the Loftus McKay and McVicar West shoots
  • Best results include five metres at 8.7 grams of gold per tonne (g/t) from 56 metres, including 1.6 metres at 26.4 g/t gold
  • Siren upgraded its exploration target at Alexander River after intercepting high-grade results during its extensive drilling campaign

Siren Gold (SNG) reports it has found more high-grade gold hits as it continues drilling at its Alexander River project in New Zealand.

The junior explorer has been carrying out diamond drilling at the site for close to a year, with 52 holes completed so far.

SNG said the latest drilling efforts at the project were testing the Loftus McKay and McVicar West shoots.

Best results include five metres at 8.7 grams of gold per tonne (g/t) from 56 metres, including 1.6 metres at 26.4 g/t gold in the hanging wall.

This intersection was 35 metres below a previous intersection of two metres at 26.8g/t gold within the Loftus shoot.

Meanwhile, drilling in the McVicar West shoot hit 4.1 metres at 10.6g/t gold, while Siren said all the holes drilled in this shoot intersected visible gold.

The company also said the results from McVicar confirmed the mineralisation dips to the north-west, parallel to the Loftus shoot.

Siren previously upgraded its exploration target at Alexander River after intercepting high-grade results.

It currently stands at 500,000 ounces to 700,000 ounces at 5g/t gold to 7g/t gold.

Siren Gold (SNG) has intersected up to 50.6 grams of gold per tonne (g/t) from the Alexander River Project in Reefton, New Zealand.

Diamond drilling began at the project in September 2020 with 41 holes completed and two in progress for 4831.5 metres.

Results have so far been received for 32 holes with a best of two metres at 26.8g/t gold from 30 metres including 0.9 metres at 50.6g/t gold.

Other results include 3.3 metres at 7g/t gold from 62.7 metres including 0.4 metres at 16.1g/t gold; and 4.4 metres at 1.5g/t gold from 12 metres.

This drilling followed on from Siren intersecting visible gold at Alexander Reef in early June.

Hole DDHAX045 intersected 0.9 metres of quartz reef within a 1.8 metre thick mineralised zone from 30.9 metres to 32.7 metres.

Hole AXHHH045also intersected a mineralised structure between 5.8 metres and 16.4 metres.

Siren will now begin drilling at the Golden Point Project in August following the grant of an Access Agreement from the Department of Conservation.

  • Siren Gold (SNG) has intersected visible gold at the Alexander River Project in Reefton, New Zealand
  • The company began diamond drilling at the project in September 2020 and drilled 36 holes for nearly 3900 metres
  • Results have been received for 28 holes with one intersecting 0.9 metres of quartz reef within a 1.8 metre thick mineralised zone and visible free gold
  • Samples are yet to be analysed but will be done so in due course
  • A second mineralised structure was also intersected in an additional hole between 5.8 and 16.4 metres

Siren Gold (SNG) has intersected visible gold at the Alexander River Project in Reefton, New Zealand.

The company began diamond drilling at the project in September 2020 and drilled 36 holes for 3819 metres.

Results have been received for 28 holes, with hole DDHAX045 intersecting 0.9 metres of quartz reef within a 1.8 metre thick mineralised zone from 30.9 to 32.7 metres with significant visible free gold.

This is the first free gold seen in the Loftus McKay shoot and samples are yet to be analysed.

A second mineralised structure was also intersected in hole AXHHH045 between 5.8 and 16.4 metres.

This zone consisted of a weak to moderately mineralised zone of quartz veins and mineralised greywacke (variety of sandstone).

Previous drilling at the project has returned results of 15 metres at 7.4g/t gold, 1.8 metres at 6.7g/t gold and 2.5 metres at 6.4g/t gold.

If the next phase of drilling yields similar findings, Siren will undertake additional drilling across the Loftus McKay and McVicar West shoots.
