I contacted COE today and asked the following: "Does this mean that COE is buying out BPT’s stake in SNE? If so, why are they selling?.
The answer was "For the merger proposal to be successful then BPT will need to sell their stake in SNE. The merger offer is fully supported by the SNE Board. Any questions regarding the BPT position are best directed to BPT themselves."
Does this somewhat interesting answer mean that COE hasn't yet tied up a commitment from BPT to sell their shares, which I think is about 56% of SNE? Could it be that COE only intend to try to mop up the remaining 44% of shares and stay in partnership with BPT. I'm just speculating. I have no special skills in this area. I'm just curious.
