World wide media exposure will put pressure on the Government, they are starting to look like fools for being held to ransom by political activists spurious claims. Not the image they wish to project to the international business community.

Lynas have drawn a line in the sand, they're saying either put up or wear the consequences of a lack in confidence by foreign investors in Malaysia. You want to be a first world country by 2020 so show you have the will to do it and stop trying to appease these activists whose only motivation is political.
