Well as MW is a "journalist", there may be some expectation that his comments have some verified basis. I, for one, am going to make a complaint to the Australian press council. He may or may not have acted in concert with some of the short sellers, but he definitely yelled "fire" in a crowded threatre without justifiable cause.
As it is he is a irresponsible idiot, and there needs to something done to prevent him being in a position to do it again. If he sought to manipulate the market he is a criminal.
Maybe he thought MW stood for Muddy Waters? However Carlson did his work before printing his opinion.
