I think absolutely we have a right to know why ME resigned. We don't need details, just a general reason why. And 24 months severance - did I read that correctly? That is ludicrous. His holding in the company should be severance enough.
Not too concerned/surprised why he got out now though. To his credit may have realised now is the time to go for whatever reason.
