True, Adder, but it does depend how they raise those funds. Doesn't necessarily have to entail further share issues and dilution, at least not rampant dilution.

Colt, for example, who are clearly still very much in the frame along with BAE, could pay upfront for the exclusive manufacturing license for MAUL. And who gets 3GL? BAE?

The release did say "acquire funds for product commercialisation."

Yes, you can acquire funds via further CR/SPP. You can also acquire funds by selling something of value in return.

Then there is funding from the existing various Defence projects and collaborations.

That aside, there's some further interesting language in this release, not least being reference to international distributors, or that "The company intends to ramp up to full production as key sales opportunities progress and volume orders are received."

Would international distributors pay upfront to secure rights to MST technology in say Europe/Middle East? Assuming Colt secures USA...

I can't imagine MST will undertake production on their own account. So that means license fees and royalties, an IP-based business model versus full manufacturing/production/sales/marketing/distribution, and all the attendant on-going costs that entails.

I think we'll now see a savage but necessary consolidation as part of the restructuring, PRIOR to this all being put in place. That doesn't bother me because no matter how many or few shares there are on issue, the SP cannot now fall much further than the current market cap.

It would be different if we were carrying a MC of say $50 million with no revenue, then a consolidation at this point in time would be a concern as it could easily get sold down further until actual sales materialise.

But if we went 1:1000, with everything else then put in place in terms of Colt, Taser, sales contracts, MMPM NLWS, Defence Canada, International Distributors etc, any buying or selling opportunities below the current MC would be okay with me because at that stage the company will have finally survived and be on the road to redemption.

At that point I would also contribute, once again, to a CR/SPP!

    That's the theory, anyway!

In summary, irrespective of today's dump, I am greatly encouraged by these developments. I think we are finally approaching NEXT and AFTER NEXT!
