Playing the game is exactly how people do get burnt.
The buy and hold strategy is far from dead!
Take myself as an example. I could have traded a lot more over the years, but that would just be risking a lot more IMO. I bought very low, held my nerve and believed in myself and PRR, and am now in a very strong position, despite the huge volatility PRR has been subjected too.
Stop losses can so easily be manipulated these days, as we have seen on a number of occasions.
Everyone has their own trading style/plan, and they should just stick to it.
