That sums up alp attitude in a nutshell, imo!
They get academics to write reports - academics who despise the majority of people as simpletons.
Just look at the AGW issues - all done by academics who need to keep their pay rolling in and will supply any report the government requires. Then they suggest the majority of people are simpletons.
Well, it is clear who the simpletons really are and they seem to have very little idea of reality.
