Sorry, Opaline, but the majority of Aussie voters do not want carbon tax as shown by the Qld vote (Newman suggested that the people to have their say on carbon tax at the Qld election) and professional opinion polls.
This should have never been legislated, let alone implemented, against the wishes of the people in this democracy, imo.
If more money has been wasted on this so far, it is this government's fault for not taking it to the people to vote on it first.
As it stands now, more expense will likely have to happen to get rid of this thing. Shameful that it was legislated against the majority's wishes.
