Daily, Comparing durable goods store to McDonald is indeed a very dumb idea. Food is what people eat every day, while electronics, people buy it and it lasts for years. Why would you open more stores just to attract buyers that will come back next year? McDonalds open store in every corner because people would not travel far for $10 meal i.e Cost of buying is much greater than the value they get.
But people would travel far to buy $1000+ goods just to have a peace of warranty in mind, to see the product directly, to try it in the store. Especially when you have been royal to the brand. I would travel to my friend store just to buy $500 worth of goods because I know that my friend sell good quality stuff. So do JBH, If JBH has good service record, then they would not have trouble attracting customer to their store.
I would agree to JBH open more stores if they sell a crappy goods that required people to come back every week for it to be repaired.
